Responsibilities

  • Assist the general manager to supervise the daily operation, including daily job briefing, task dedication and progress monitoring
  • Respond to customer site problems when requested by the general manager
  • Participate and assist other project engineers or managers to solve customer line down problems
  • Take part in the mechanical conceptual design, installation and modification work for machines, jigs and fixtures, metal or plastic structures, pumps, filters and piping, as requested by the general manager
  • Provide comprehensive constructive solutions to resolve customer problems
  • Generate work instructions or SOPs
  • Communicate with suppliers to obtain project related item specifications and application details
  • Generate a project BOM list when required
  • Contribute cost saving methods and ideas
  • Generate work orders for mechanical fabrication or installation
  • Generate project related instruction manuals and training materials
  • Supervise subordinates to work according to job orders and drive for high work quality and completion dates that meet the delivery schedule
  • Guide, coach and motivate subordinates; conduct technical or motivational training programs for subordinates
  • Participate in quality management system setup and maintenance
  • Follow industrial safety regulations
  • Reduce waste of resources and encourage others to follow

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma, Bachelor\'s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Mechanical / Electrical or equivalent
  • Having at least one year of working experience in the relevant field
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks or AutoCAD software is preferred
  • Able to work during weekends, public holidays and extended working hours as needed
  • Able to travel locally or overseas as requested
