Safety, Health and Environment Assistance

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily safety inspections around the plant and report any unsafe acts or conditions.
• Ensure workers follow PPE requirements and proper Safe Work Procedures (SWP) .
• Assist in conducting toolbox meetings, fire drills, and emergency response activities .
• Support in preparing HIRARC, Chemical Register, and Emergency Response Plan (ERP) records.
• Monitor and record scheduled waste movement , labeling, and storage conditions at the facility.
• Update waste inventory and assist in eSWIS data entry .
• Ensure all scheduled waste drums and containers are properly labeled and stored according to DOE guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping at the waste storage and processing areas.
• Support in preparation of monthly DOE and internal environmental reports .
• Assist in document filing, record updates , and maintaining ISO-related checklists (ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001).
• Help during audits or site inspections conducted by DOE, DOSH, or management.
• Conduct safety inductions for new staff and contractors.
• Promote awareness of safety and environmental practices among workers.
• Assist in managing 5s and PPE distribution.
• Perform any other related duties assigned by the Compliance Manager or Plant Supervisor.
