Overview

Are you an experienced QEHS Senior Engineer or Lead looking for your next challenge? ALPHAESS MALAYSIA SDN. BHD., a leading player in the manufacturing / electrical / electronic engineering industry, is seeking a talented QEHS Senior Engineer / Lead to join their team in Kulim, Kedah. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality, environment, health and safety across the organisation. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking counterparts.

What you\'ll be doing

  • Developing, implementing and monitoring QEHS policies, procedures and systems to maintain compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
  • Conducting risk assessments, audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential health, safety and environmental hazards
  • Providing expert guidance, conducting Quality Systems audits and training to employees on QEHS best practices and corrective action reporting systems to auditors / regulatory bodies (DOSH, DOE, MOM, etc.)
  • Host external Quality System, Environment and Safety audits and Safety and Health Committee
  • Investigating incidents and accidents, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in QEHS performance
  • Preparing and submitting regulatory reports and ensuring timely renewal of QEHS certifications
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in QEHS legislation and industry best practices

What we\'re looking for

  • Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a QEHS (QMS / EHS) role, preferably in the electrical / electronic / manufacturing engineering industry
  • Good command of reading, written and spoken Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Thorough understanding of QEHS regulations, standards and best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Initiative and able to work independently with a high degree of commitment to ensure a healthy and safe working environment
  • Hardworking with excellent teamwork
  • Candidate who can start immediately would be advantageous
  • Familiar with EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) and provide direct EHS support to Kulim site
  • Candidates are required to have a valid "Green book" (Safety & Health Officer – SHO) certification as well as a Scheduled Waste Competency Certificate (CePSWaM); these will be priority
  • If no Green Book certification, at least SHC required for the role will be considered
