About the Job

  • Responsible for the sales, management and profitability of the agents and assist the Branch Manager to meet the Branch objectives and goals
  • Achieve yearly growth target of the agents (and team / unit as a leader)
  • Conserve renewals and grow the agency force through grooming and recruitment
  • Ensure the development of portfolio mix and achieving underwriting profit in alignment with Company appetite
  • Conduct risks inspection and acceptance whilst exercising the Underwriting Authority Limit as assigned by the Company
  • Ensure effective and efficient support in managing the agents and their customers
  • Provide guidance to the staff under their care (as a team / unit leader) in areas of technical knowledge and career path

  • Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks
  • Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company
  • Highlights any potential concerns / risks and proactively shares best risk management practices
