Overview

Maintenance Technician - Automated Sorting Machine (ASM), SPX Express (Pulau Indah / Bukit Raja Selatan)

Location : Pulau Indah 42000, Klang / Bukit Raja Selatan 40000, Shah Alam, Malaysia

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day machine monitoring and maintenance to ensure smooth business operation
  • Attend to breakdown and maintenance complaints promptly
  • Carry out installation and commissioning of new equipment and scheduled maintenance works according to the checklist at designated areas / sites
  • Perform minor repairs and diagnose faults
  • Repair, clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machines where required
  • Maintain proper records of machines and machine service history
  • Perform ad hoc or other jobs as assigned by the engineer
  • Assist Lead Engineers to review Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and maintenance program
  • Obtaining, designing special components, fixtures, fittings

Requirements

  • Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience with Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems
  • Experience in a warehouse environment would be an added advantage
  • Experience in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and controlling system
  • Strong knowledge in repairing mechanical parts e.g. conveyor belt, roller, bearing, etc.
  • Knowledge in Warehouse Controlling Systems / Integration solutions with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Able to read and utilize mechanical & electrical schematics to assist in troubleshooting and resolution of mechanical and electronic components
  • Good in Material Flow Control software
  • Able to multitask, prioritize workloads and work in a dynamic environment
