Responsibilities :
Design and implement robust database structures to support business applications, ensuring data consistency and integrity.
Set up and configure database management systems (DBMS) such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL to meet operational needs.
Continuously monitor database performance across platforms, identify bottlenecks, and apply necessary patches or updates. Conduct tuning activities to enhance database efficiency and resource utilization.
Implement comprehensive database security protocols to safeguard against unauthorized access. Ensure ongoing compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Regularly update security measures to address evolving threats.
Develop and manage reliable backup and recovery strategies to ensure business continuity. Perform regular testing to verify data recovery procedures and ensure data availability.
Diagnose and resolve database issues, including performance lags, data inconsistencies, and connectivity problems.
Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation of database configurations, processes, and maintenance procedures.
Work closely with developers, system administrators, and IT teams to support database applications and drive performance enhancements.
Identify areas for improvement and implement database optimization strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
Deploy, monitor, and maintain cloud-based database solutions. Ensure secure and scalable cloud environments through appropriate security and configuration practices.
Create and maintain automation scripts / tools to streamline database management tasks and minimize manual effort.
