Prepare cost estimates, develop comprehensive Bill of Quantities (BQ) for civil and structural, mechanical or electrical works, and tender documentation.
Assist in contract administration, including progress claims, variation orders (VO) and final accounts.
Measure and value work done on-site for progress claims and interim payments.
Provide advice on contractual issues, procurement strategies, and cost optimization.
Support project managers in decision-making with accurate cost data and reports.
Ensure adherence to company policies, legal regulations and industry standards.
Participate in site visits and attend project meetings as required.
Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Job Requirements
Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or other related fields.
Minimum 1 year of experience in quantity surveying within construction, MEP (mechanical, electrical & plumbing), interior design & fit-out sectors .
Good knowledge of construction materials, cost control, and contract administration.
Familiarity with industry regulations, standards, and best practices in the construction sector.
Proficiency in using construction-related software and tools.
Good command in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Ability to speak in Mandarin would be added advantage but not a must.
Ability to work independently and travel to project sites when required.
