Overview

Lead OSS & Operations Consultant role at Nokia in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will shape and optimize OSS solutions within the telecommunications industry, leveraging OSS processes, network architecture, and industry frameworks (TM Forum, AIOps, ODA, eTOM) to analyze client needs, design and implement solutions, and drive operational excellence. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery and stay ahead of emerging trends in automation and cloud‑native technologies. You will develop technical documentation, provide ongoing client support, and contribute to strategic decisions that enhance products, processes, and services. You will also mentor other consultants in the practice and help develop and market cutting‑edge Consulting offers to address operators’ ambitions and pain points globally.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze client requirements and identify opportunities for improvement within their OSS landscape.
  • Design and implement OSS solutions using industry best practices and standards (TM Forum, ETSI, 3GPP).
  • Develop technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, high‑level designs (HLDs), and low‑level designs (LLDs).
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (development, operations, sales) to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Stay up‑to‑date on OSS trends, including AI / Gen AI based operations, ODA / SID data models, TMF Open APIs, cloud‑native technologies, and automation (O2A, T2R, C2L, M2I, D2G, Cloud LCM).
  • Provide ongoing client support after solution implementation.
  • Identify market trends and customer pain points to develop Consulting portfolio assets and support sales in identifying leads and winning projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • 12–15+ years of experience in OSS consulting or a related role within the telecommunications industry.
  • In‑depth knowledge of OSS functionalities and processes (inventory management, service provisioning, trouble ticketing, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications network architecture and technologies.
  • Experience with industry standards and frameworks (TM Forum Open APIs, AIOps, ODA, eTOM).
  • In‑depth knowledge in one or more areas such as e2e slicing, Agentic AI operations, Digital Twin operations, L4‑L5 Automation in Closed Loop, Observability, Zero‑touch Operations, etc.
  • Nice to have

  • Willingness to travel and spend time at customer premises.
  • Self‑starter and systematic in structuring required steps to reach goals.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; strong leadership and influence with sales expertise.
