Role Overview

We are looking for a Director of Sports who will oversee the whole Physical Education Department of the International Section, helping guide the school and working with colleagues to take us to the next level.

About Our Campus

We are a unique campus, home to Tenby International School, which consists of a Primary and Secondary School following IPC, National Curriculum for England, CIE, IGCSE, and A Level, and a Malaysian Private School, Sekolah Sri Tenby (Malaysian National Curriculum). We welcome almost 2000 students, aged 3 to 18 years, from 38 nationalities. The international school has 1200 students. We celebrate being Asian and combine this with international thinking to create a diverse and exciting campus.

Tenby Schools SEP is proud to be part of the International Schools Partnership (ISP), a fast‑growing global schools group in six clusters across the world; Europe, Mexico & Central America, the Middle East, South America, Southeast Asia, and the USA. The Role

  • Has a genuine interest in leadership, getting better at leading and supporting others to improve.
  • Is an outstanding teaching practitioner with minimum degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field and possess a teaching qualification (PGCE, Diploma in Education, or equivalent).
  • Has an experience in designing and lead a forward‑thinking, inclusive sports programme from Early Years to Secondary.
  • Inspire a love for physical fitness, sportsmanship, and lifelong healthy living.
  • Coach and mentor both staff and students to achieve excellence in competitive and recreational sports.
  • Organise thrilling inter‑house and inter‑school competitions, sports festivals, and community events.
  • Strengthen partnerships with local and international schools to broaden our competitive platform.
  • Oversee the development and management of world‑class facilities, resources, and coaching teams.
  • Champion school spirit and pride through sports leadership and participation initiatives.
  • Is someone who recognises and rewards excellent learning.
  • Is a strong communicator, who is personable, caring and passionate with high expectations of themselves and others. You want to get better!
  • Is committed to their own continued professional development and excited about professional learning conversations with like minded colleagues.

    This is a two‑year contract with an option to renew at the end. Benefits include :
