Overview

Join the APAC Commercial Team as the Manager Commercial Development - Ceramic to accelerate profitable revenue growth by proactively identifying new sales opportunities and supporting cluster directors and sales managers in executing their sales strategies. The role collaborates with the VP Commercial to refine the “Where to Play” and “How to Win” strategies, translating them into actionable sales initiatives through compelling value propositions and tailored marketing activities. Success requires close collaboration with Sibelco’s local and global sales teams, cluster leadership, technical sales managers, and the VP Commercial.

Responsibilities

  • As the Manager Commercial Development, act as a strategic advisor for regional growth by developing and maintaining a deep, fact-based understanding of the assigned markets, including market dynamics, customer behavior, competitive landscape, technological trends, and geographic influences.
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of the assigned markets focusing on customer needs, competitor strategies, emerging trends, and the effects of local regulations.
  • Collect and analyse market intelligence and recommend actionable strategies.
  • Identify gaps in current product offerings and assess the value delivered to the market, providing insights to drive product and service enhancements.
  • Formulate and implement sales tactics including pricing strategies, product positioning, and distribution channels to develop new and existing markets.
  • Develop and manage sales projects with effective execution through follow-up and on-field support, including customer visits; analyse new opportunities to maximise value.
  • Coordinate commercial activities across clusters to enhance inter-cluster sales and foster cross-regional growth.
  • Identify and assess new opportunities, involving the technical sales manager in product development and innovation initiatives.
  • Participate in industry fairs as a visitor or by supporting exhibition setups to maintain a strong brand presence.
  • Share success stories across Sibelco and promote best practices to inspire broader organizational growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Science, Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • 7+ years of experience in technical / marketing / sales management in industrial B2B environments, ideally within the ceramics market
  • Fluency in the local language with written and spoken English
