Overview

About The Role : You will be part of the Enterprise Data Organization, composed of colleagues based in Penang, the US, and our Maritime Operations cluster. You will provide support on research, validation, and update of Trade data. You will assist with data integration and migration projects by aligning maritime and trade data sets to a new platform to create more data insight for our customers. This role offers exposure to research and analysis of maritime and trade datasets and collaboration with data Transformation colleagues in the Enterprise Data Organization team.

Responsibilities

  • Research and analysis pertaining to Maritime and trade-related datasets as applicable to ships, companies, ownerships, compliances, sanctions, ports, and trade & bill of lading.
  • Updating and maintaining the data in response to the above.
  • Working closely with in-country / regional experts to validate data.
  • Capture and validate data through primary and newly acquired sources to transform data into critical information.

What We’re Looking For

  • A bachelor or master degree (or equivalent).
  • 0-6 months relevant work experience.
  • Keen interest in the Maritime industry.
  • Research and analysis required.
  • Excellent communication.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • An aptitude to learn and adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment.
  • The ability to build strong working relationships in a collaborative setting with immediate coworkers.
  • Be legally eligible to work for the duration of the program in the country for which you apply.
  • Keen attention to detail and good multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
