About The Department

UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub2) is a UOB-wholly owned subsidiary and a Centre of Excellence based in Malaysia, providing Group Business Services (GBS) to support the UOB Group. Started in 2021 with technology application design, development and support, InnoHub2 is expanding beyond technology services to deliver other business services to support the Bank's growth ambition. We are looking for talented and motivated individuals to be part of the pioneer team spearheading the development and delivery of the new services.

SCOPE OF THE ROLE

You will be involved extensively and be responsible for the end-to-end software development lifecycle and support for all work transitioned from UOB Group (which could be projects, quarterly change requests, L3 production fixes). This includes analysis and design to development, implementation, testing and support. You will be expected to work with various stakeholders (including business analysts) to understand / define functional and non-functional requirements and provide technical solutions for the domain area of Digital Banking.

Other responsibilities include :

• Develop tools and applications to support workflows and processes within the Technology and Operations ecosystem.
• Responsible for troubleshooting and issue analysis, as well as coding, unit testing and implementing software enhancements.
• Participate in agile team activities, planning, estimation, daily standups
• Have strong logical approach to problem resolution, with high aptitude for learning.
• Use emerging practices in software development.
• Ability to pick up and adapt to new technologies quickly and deal with ever changing change.
• Extensive understanding and experience in object-oriented concepts, structural programming, database designing and entire software development life cycle.
• Design, build and maintain high-performance and good quality web applications
• Diagnose and solve production issues as they arise.
• A passion for learning and the willingness to solve problems
• Excellent team player having analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Object oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
