Job Overview :

LEON Classroom is seeking a dedicated Instructional Designer with a strong background in Islamic education and digital teaching to design engaging learning content and train KAFA tutors. The ideal candidate will help adapt traditional KAFA-style instruction (Iqra', Al-Quran, Arabic, etc.) to suit the needs of children in a modern, game-based online environment.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Instructional Design & Content Development

  • Develop age-appropriate and gamified lesson content based on the KAFA syllabus (focus : Iqra', Al-Quran, basic Arabic, Akhlak).
  • Design interactive learning modules compatible with LEON Classroom's digital platform.
  • Ensure alignment with LEON Classroom's pedagogical approach : child-focused, fun, and spiritually enriching.

2. Tutor Training & Support

  • Train KAFA tutors on how to deliver lessons using the LEON Classroom platform and methodology.
  • Organize hands-on workshops, demo classes, and follow-up coaching for tutor development.
  • Monitor tutor performance and provide feedback to improve engagement and effectiveness.

    • 3. Teaching & Classroom Modelling

  • Lead demo lessons or intervention sessions to model effective online Islamic teaching practices.
  • Assist with onboarding children and parents when necessary.
  • Apply behavior management techniques suited for children aged 3–10.

    • 4. Communication & Multilingual Delivery

  • Translate and present materials in Malay, English, and Arabic, as needed.
  • Serve as a communication bridge between instructional content, tutors, and parent concerns.

    • 5. Platform & Process Optimization

  • Collaborate with the product and tech teams to enhance learning features on the LEON Classroom platform.
  • Identify gaps in tutor readiness or content delivery and suggest improvements.

    • Requirements :

  • Minimum 2 years' tutoring experience, ideally with KAFA or Islamic early childhood programs.
  • Proficient in teaching Iqra' and Al-Quran using child-friendly methods.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in Malay, English, and basic Arabic.
  • Comfortable with digital platforms, online classrooms, and interactive learning tools.
  • Passionate about Islamic education and the use of innovative teaching methods.
