JOB DESCRIPTION : HEAD OF ACCOUNTS

Job Purpose

The primary purpose of Head of Accounts is to lead and manage the Accounts Unit to ensure the accounts are produced in a timely and accurate manner to reflect a true and fair view for JMB / MC and other tasks that the management believes are within the abilities of the holder that fits in with the company's strategies as circumstances dictate.

Key Accountabilities

  • To review and ensure accuracy of financial data and reports for Management Corporation / Joint Management Body.
  • To review and ensure accuracy of audited report and ensure tax return submitted on time for SCMIPM managed developments.
  • To monitor and review the Operations and Capital Budget applicable to SCMIPM HQ and SCMIPM managed developments.
  • To plan, manage, implement and execute appropriate financial policies, documentation controls and procedures effectively.
  • To review and ensure timely payment to all creditors for SCM managed developments.
  • To attend Annual General Meeting / Extraordinary General Meeting / Joint Management Committee / Management Committee meetings as and when required.
  • To plan and execute internal financial audit for SCMIPM managed developments.
  • To provide guidance, support, advisory and training to Accounts team and SCMIPM site staff on all financial matters.
  • Undertake any additional duties as assigned by the superior, in line with the company's objectives and the scope of the role.

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor's Degree (Specialized in Financial Accounting or professional degree-ACCA, ICMA, property of building related discipline)
  • Total Work Experience : 7 to 10 years
  • Total Relevant Experience : 7 to 10 years in property management companies.
  • Must be able to present and explain the accounts to the management committee in a clear and concise manner.
  • Innovative, self-motivated, possessing excellent managerial and organizational skills, and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Experience in customer service with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English and able to converse in Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Computer literate (MS Office) and other financial applications
