Job Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and upgrade database servers and related tools.
- Familiar with MySQL, AWS (Aurora, DynamoDB), MS SQL Server, MongoDB, DevOps – Know all the technical terms in English.
- Implement database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Apply patches and perform routine updates to maintain database security and stability.
Performance & Optimization
Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and tune queries, indexes, and configurations.Conduct capacity planning and ensure efficient resource utilization.Optimize database design and schema for application performance.Security & Compliance
Implement security policies to safeguard sensitive data.Manage user access, roles, and permissions.Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Experience
3–7 years of experience as a Database Administrator (depending on role seniority).Proven experience with at least one major RDBMS (e.g., Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).Experience with cloud databases and NoSQL databases is a plus.Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of SQL, database design, and query optimization.Hands‑on experience with backup / recovery tools and high availability solutions.Familiarity with database monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds DPA, Redgate, Prometheus, CloudWatch).Understanding of ETL, replication, and data integration processes.Scripting proficiency (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) is desirable.Seniority level
