Role Description
You will be responsible to provide payroll support services to APAC countries (Australia) and multiple entities by processing timesheets and payroll accurately within tight deadlines. You are enthusiastic about service delivery in a shared services environment and provide excellent customer service to clients. You are a team player and able to work collaboratively with a large team and will report to the Regional Payroll Manager. Our aim is to provide value-added services and solutions that are flexible and tailored to the circumstances and needs of our clients.
Principle Accountabilities
- Verify reconciliation and payroll reports prior transmission to client
- Work closely with payroll vendor / Tax authorities to ensure smooth workflow of all payroll related matters
- Maintain service level within the SLA within the team
- Provide support in any implementation or migration
- Review employment terms, conditions and agreements to process all new hires, terminations, changes, and leave applications ensuring correct data entry of hours and employee details
- Compile, calculate and verify contractors’ timesheets and expense claims against client contracts to ensure accuracy and completeness
- End-to-end processing of weekly, fortnightly, and monthly timesheets and payroll to ensure accuracy and adherence to clients’ requirements (e.g. extracting from client portals)
- Prepare timely payroll payments (e.g. data entry into banking portals) and reports working closely with Reporting team on discrepancies. Work closely with Treasury to provide payroll funding requests
- Calculate and submit all the contractors’ salaries, individual income taxes, social contributions, deductions, bonuses and benefits up to and including tax clearance and annual income tax declaration to government agencies / partners
- Work closely with the Service Teams and other cross-functional teams on payroll related issues, such as contractor salary, benefits, expenses, recharges and intercompany
- Resolve and respond to payroll inquiries and issues from contractors, clients and partners
- Coordinating and controlling data flows and exchanges, as per agreed payroll calendar
- Daily contact with contractors, clients and other cross-functional teams to ensure payroll is delivered on time and accurately
- Ensure entries and data in payroll system (or others) are accurate. Maintain and safeguard employee data. Work closely with Reporting team on month end closing activities, payroll and employee tax reconciliations, accounting standards and monthly / quarterly / annual financial reporting requirements
- Preparation of payroll calendars and checklists to ensure all timelines are met
- Preparation and maintenance of payroll files and monthly governance reports, by client, currency and country
- Compliance with company procedures and country regulations
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
Diploma or Degree holder with proven min 4+ years of experience in vendor / client facing payroll environment and working knowledge of employee records / benefits in an international environmentExperience with end to end payroll cycle including Statutory Year End, Knowledge in China payroll is a plusPrevious exposure to payroll and employee taxes and clearance and liaising with government agenciesExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout the organizationKnowledge of payroll and CRM systems is an advantageAttention to detail with analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesStrong math skills with an ability to spot numerical errorsAbility to handle highly sensitive data and working with large data sets and adhere to tight deadlinesStrong organizational, oral and written communication skills. Passion for providing Excellent and outstanding customer serviceProficient in all Microsoft applications (Word, Excel & Power Point)Fluency in Chinese is added as advantage as this will be for China regionWhat we can offer you
