Procurement and Planning Assistant Manager (Yong Peng, Johor)

We're looking to add a Procurement and Planning Assistant Manager located in Yong Peng, Johor to support our extraordinary teams and contribute to our growth.

Job Descriptions :

Procurement Management :

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services.
  • Analyze and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions.
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all procurement activities.

Planning and Inventory Management :

  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on sales order requirements, material availability, and production capacity.
  • Coordinate with other departments to address production timelines, schedule conflicts, and delays.
  • Track inventory levels of materials and ensure accuracy in delivery schedules and purchases.
  • Implement plans for packaging and raw material procurement according to the master production plan.
  • Monitor production plans and performance, as well as inventory levels.
  • Operational Excellence :

  • Identify and implement relevant projects to increase efficiency and continuous improvement of the supply chain function.
  • Develop and maintain best practice systems and procedures for material management and procurement.
  • Work closely with quality operations, manufacturing, technical services, and engineering departments to ensure high levels of customer service.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
  • Skills and personalities :

  • Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement and planning, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems and other relevant software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of FSSC and HACCP standards and requirements.
  • Willing to work in Yong Peng, Johor.
