Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Manager to lead product quality assurance and control for our new energy storage manufacturing plant. The role will be responsible for building and managing the quality systems, ensuring compliance with international standards, driving continuous improvement, and leading a dedicated QA / QC team to deliver reliable, market driven energy storage solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage overall quality operation for energy storage products, including DC panels and battery packs.
- Prepare and lead customer audits, certification processes, third-party inspection and customer site visits.
- Establish, implement and continuously improve quality management systems in alignment with ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards and inspection processes.
- Ensure compliance with international quality, safety and environmental regulations.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and leadership to the QA / QC team, fostering accountability and a culture of excellence.
- Develop and monitor quality KPIs (e.g., defect rates, customer complaints, supplier performance) and report to senior management.
- Drive supplier quality management and establish robust incoming inspection processes.
- Lead root cause analysis, problem solving initiatives, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement initiative.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, facility, engineering, R&D, Supply Chain) to resolve quality issues and support product feasibility processes.
- Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and training materials to sustain compliance and knowledge transfer.
- Oversee risk assessment and mitigation related to product quality, safety, and reliability.
- Champion a strong customer-focused quality mindset throughout the organization.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, Mechanical, Electrical or its relevant.Above 8 years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in energy storage, electrical, battery technology or renewable energy industries.Strong knowledge of ISO standards, quality tools and lean manufacturing practices.Experience with audits, certification processes and regulatory compliance.Experience in supplier quality management and customer issue resolution.Proven leadership skills with the ability to build and inspire high-performing teams.Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.Proficiency with QMS / ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.Possesses competency certificates such as 6-Sigma, CQE or Lead Auditor will be an added advantage.The candidate must be willing to work in Jeram, Kuala Selangor.Seniority level
