What you'll be doing?
Lead contract activities : Oversee pre- and post-contract activities, including tenders, estimations, procurement, and contract administration, ensuring effective execution throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide strategic guidance : Mentor and develop team members, driving the achievement of departmental and organizational objectives through your leadership.
Manage key communications : Act as the primary point of contact for contract-related matters, skillfully handling negotiations, disputes, and claims with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
Monitor project financials : Keep a close eye on budgets, costs, and profitability, recommending strategic measures to optimize project performance.
Review project documentation : Analyze specifications and drawings to ensure a comprehensive understanding of contractual requirements and scope of work.
Oversee critical documentation : Ensure accuracy and compliance in the preparation of Letters of Award, progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
Collaborate across teams : Work closely with project managers, consultants, and stakeholders to align contractual and commercial strategies with project delivery goals.
Represent the company : Participate in high-level meetings and negotiations, safeguarding the company's interests and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Who are they looking for?
Relevant education : A Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or an equivalent field, providing a strong foundation for the role.
Proven experience : At least 8 years of experience in contracts / quantity surveying, with 3-5 years in a leadership role, demonstrating your ability to excel in this senior position.
Leadership skills : Strong ability to lead a contracts / QS team and manage multiple projects simultaneously, inspiring and guiding your team to success.
Communication prowess : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage effectively with various stakeholders.
Expertise in key areas : Demonstrated proficiency in contract negotiation, dispute resolution, claims management, and risk mitigation.
Attention to detail : High level of precision combined with strong organizational and time-management skills to ensure smooth project execution.
Technical proficiency : Familiarity with contract management software and MS Office applications to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Language skills : Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred, as it may be beneficial for communication with certain clients or partners.
M&E knowledge : Familiarity with Mechanical & Electrical aspects of construction projects would be an advantage in this role.
