The Role

Experienced autonomous professional responsible for improving technical alignment, health, and engineering practices within SEEK Group Engineering teams. Develop software in product / platform teams while coaching junior engineers and delivering user-centric, scalable solutions. The Team

Cross-functional, multi-disciplinary squads within APAC matrix structure serving internal / external customers (Candidate, Hirer, AIPS, Technology Platforms). Work with engineers of all levels, Engineering Managers, Product Managers, Data Engineers, Business Analysts, UX / Visual Designers, and Data Analysts. Key Accountabilities Build Guide engineers in building, testing, deploying software from development to production Improve platform health ensuring reliable, resilient, efficient systems Drive software development strengthening engineering best practices Build highly scalable, performant cloud-first software aligned with SEEK's technology strategy Execute Write clean, well-tested, readable software using secure coding practices Improve quality, engineering discipline, and team capability Strengthen Agile delivery and secure coding practices Provide operational support including on-call duties Support Contribute to team safety, work-life balance, and well-being Key contributor to new hire onboarding Mentor others and create space for diverse opinions Strengthen Contribute to communities of practice at SEEK Actively seek learning opportunities through feedback Qualifications

Essential Requirements Experience creating / maintaining software in 2+ modern languages Cloud-first (AWS) application design, development, and support experience API, logging, monitoring / alerting experience Strong CI / CD, Design Patterns, and Data Modelling experience Modern development practices (TDD, BDD, Clean Code) Operational support and on-call experience Data-driven decision making Knowledge sharing and mentoring experience Desirable Leadership experience in software engineering teams Proactive knowledge sharing and community contribution Online marketplace business experience Relevant tertiary qualifications Personal Skills
