Financial Accounting & Reporting Manager

To ensure the timely and accurate fulfillment of QBE ANZO’s capital reporting requirements including statutory, regulatory and budgeting requirements.

Your New Role Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with MFRS / IFRS. Ensure timely submission of reports to regional, Bank Negara Malaysia and other regulatory bodies. Review and validate financial data for accuracy and completeness. Conduct analysis of financial results from both strategic and analytical perspectives. Manage day-to-day delivery of team services to meet specific needs of the business. Provide technical expertise and guidance on financial matters. Keep abreast with financial and regulatory changes. Drive process optimisation and efficiency targets. Provide financial management leadership in areas such as tax, financial reporting, and treasury management to the finance team. Establish effective financial controls to protect the organisation\'s profits. Support the development and maintenance of financial systems and procedures. Ensure compliance with internal governance and risk policies. Manage external and internal audit processes and ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies. Liaise with regional and group finance teams to ensure alignment and consistency. Other regular or ad hoc financial or regulatory reports, as required. Support Head of Finance in leadership of the Finance team. Supervise and mentor junior reporting staff. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

About You

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, ICAEW) is highly preferred.

Minimum 5 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably in insurance or financial services.

Strong knowledge of MFRS / IFRS and regulatory requirements in Malaysia.

Proficient in financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion).

Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
