In the Insurance & Risk Management (IRM) area we focus on being trusted advisors by connecting with business colleagues and understanding their needs. We manage and mitigate risk and deliver quality insurance products and services to protect the company’s employees, assets and liabilities and to meet its contractual obligations to customers across the group.
Job Purpose
- Deliver assigned tasks to implement claims management policies and procedures for insurance claims in areas such as cargo claims (core focus), property & casualty, general liability, product liability, and organizational liability in line with overall business objectives and Group guidelines.
- Independently provide claims handling and processing for standard claims for assigned specialty area, review data, perform analysis, and provide recommendations and propose solutions for non‑standard and complex claims.
Your Tasks
Serve as a key member of the IRM APAC Claims team, contributing to the organization’s business objectives.Manage a high volume of marine cargo / freight claims from different APAC countries, ensuring claims are handled swiftly and efficiently, conduct thorough investigations, review and decide on the validity of claims, check for fraudulent activity and proactively achieve early economic resolution for all customer claims in accordance with industry standards and company guidelines.Pursue robust recovery action against potential third‑party liable parties, including carriers and subcontractors.Perform loss mitigation and root‑cause analysis to identify corrective actions and drive service improvements.Maintain effective communication with business partners, customers, underwriters and external experts, coordinating across multiple departments within the company.Enter claims into the claims system and maintain the system entry in line with the existing claims manual.Manage service quality & KPI monitoring associated to the claims handling process, aligning with global initiatives.Understand and articulate the Claims Management value proposition clearly.Deliver claims process awareness training to business colleagues.Adhere to legal requirements, industry regulations and customer quality standards set by the board.Ensure all regulatory and compliance policies are met in accordance with global guidelines.Adopt the DHL Group culture of professionalism, integrity, effectiveness and a dynamic attitude, contributing to a collaborative internal environment and a positive insurance & risk management service provision to customers.Your Profile
3+ years of insurance claims administrative experience in the logistics industry.Degree in international shipping, insurance, legal or other closely related field.Strong attention to precision and detail.Strong data entry, processing and administrative skills.Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.Fluent in written and spoken English.Experienced with operating in a matrix organization, servicing multiple customers / stakeholders.We Offer
