Job Description
Doka EAP is actively seeking an experienced Accounting Leader for the EAP region. The role ensures accurate, standardized and compliant financial accounting and reporting across multiple countries, leads the regional accounting organization in delivering high‑quality financial statements, manages statutory audits and maintains strong compliance with tax and regulatory requirements. A key focus is driving consistency in accounting practices across the region and developing capable local accounting teams to support sustainable business growth.
Responsibilities
- 1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
Oversee all accounting operations across EAP entities, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with Group accounting policies (IFRS / Group standards) and local GAAP.
Lead preparation and review of annual financial statements (AFS) and coordinate the audit process with external auditors.Ensure timely month‑end and year‑end closings, reconciliations, and internal reporting accuracy.Drive standardization and consistent accounting treatment across all entities in the region to ensure comparability and compliance.Implement and monitor internal control frameworks to strengthen accounting governance.2. Audit & ComplianceManage annual statutory audits for all EAP entities, including coordination with external auditors and local finance teams.
Ensure proper audit documentation and timely resolution of audit findings.Maintain strong compliance with group and local accounting standards, internal policies, and external regulations.3. Tax ManagementOversee all direct and indirect tax compliance (corporate income tax, VAT / GST, WHT, etc.) across the region.
Coordinate with local teams and external advisors to ensure timely and accurate tax filings.Support tax audits, transfer pricing documentation, and communication with tax authorities.Proactively identify and manage tax risks while supporting tax efficiency initiatives.4. Customs & Regulatory Matters (Preferred)Support handling of customs‑related cases, audits, or investigations.
Ensure compliance with import / export and trade regulations in collaboration with legal and operations teams.Keep updated on customs and trade policy changes impacting the business.5. Regional Accounting Organisation DevelopmentDevelop and strengthen country accounting organisations through coaching, process alignment, and capability building.
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and process excellence.Align regional accounting resources and structures to support both local statutory requirements and global reporting needs.Ensure adequate succession planning and talent development within the accounting function.6. Governance & ComplianceEnsure accuracy and compliance of regional financial data with DOKA Group policies and IFRS standards.
Maintain data integrity in ERP.7. Leadership & CollaborationLead and motivate the regional accounting team to achieve operational excellence and compliance.
Collaborate closely with Controlling, Treasury, Tax, and Business Operations teams to support regional business objectives.Act as a trusted finance partner to regional and local management, providing insights on accounting and compliance matters.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent; CPA / Chartered Accountant.Audit experience required.Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and local GAAPs across EAP countries.Minimum 8–12 years of progressive accounting experience, including regional or multi‑country exposure.Proven track record in managing annual audits, tax compliance, and process standardization initiatives.Familiarity with customs or trade compliance is an advantage.Experience in a multinational environment, ideally in manufacturing, engineering, or trading industries.Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP) and Microsoft Excel.Excellent command of English; additional regional language skills are a plus.#J-18808-Ljbffr
