The Electronic Repair Engineer is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, testing, and maintaining a wide range of electronic equipment and systems. The role involves fault-finding at component level, ensuring equipment is restored to optimal working condition, and supporting continuous improvement in repair and maintenance practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults in electronic devices, PCBs, and components down to component level.
- Repair and rework electronic equipment, including soldering SMD and through-hole components.
- Perform functional testing and validation of repaired units.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, datasheets, and circuit diagrams.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, faults, and replacements using repair logs or digital systems.
- Work with engineering and production teams to improve reliability and reduce failure rates.
- Maintain and calibrate electronic testing equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, etc.).
- Support inventory control of spare parts and electronic components.
- Comply with all health, safety, and quality standards and procedures.
- Provide technical support and training when necessary to junior technicians or other departments.
Education
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.Experience
2+ years of hands-on experience in electronics repair, preferably in industrial, medical, automotive, or consumer electronics sectors.Experience in component-level troubleshooting and repair.Skills
Proficient in using diagnostic tools and test instruments.Strong soldering and rework skills (SMD and through-hole).Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Familiarity with ESD safety and cleanroom practices.Basic understanding of embedded systems and microcontrollers is a plus.#J-18808-Ljbffr
