Site Safety Supervisor - Data Centre

About the role

The Senior Site Safety Supervisor safeguards day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring all safety, health & environmental standards are met and that the project complies with Malaysian statutory requirements and company WSHE procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Daily Site Monitoring — Conduct regular inspections and safety patrols, identify and rectify unsafe acts or conditions, and exercise Stop‑Work Authority when necessary to prevent incidents.
• Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) Administration — Manage end‑to‑end PTW processes for hot work, work at height, lifting operations, confined space entry, and electrical isolation (LOTO); ensure proper documentation, filing, and traceability.
• Risk Management (HIRARC / RA) — Prepare and review Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC) or Risk Assessment (RA) documents; monitor implementation of control measures and report any non‑conformance.
• Sub‑contractor Compliance — Monitor subcontractors’ work to ensure compliance with Malaysian OSH laws, project safety rules, and client requirements; elevate deviations promptly to the WSHE Officer.
• Training & Communication — Conduct toolbox meetings, site inductions, and focused safety briefings (e.g. Work at Height, lifting operations, electrical safety) to cultivate a proactive safety culture among all site personnel.
• Incident Management — Lead or assist in investigating accidents, near misses, or unsafe occurrences, ensuring timely Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and submission of reports in accordance with DOSH guidelines.
• Standardisation — Ensure consistent implementation of safety procedures, method statements, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) in alignment with company WSHE standards and project specifications.
• Governance & Documentation — Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date safety records, inspection checklists, audit reports, and statutory registers for internal audits, DOSH inspections, and client reviews.
