Job Responsibilities
- Overview full set of accounts for the Company.
- Review monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly performance reports, analysis of accounts, management / statutory reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results and compliance with the Company’s policies and accounting standards.
- Prepare and review annual budgets, cash flow forecasts, financial projections, and monitor actual performance against budgets.
- Identify issues and make proposals to align with corporate processes and drive continuous improvement to achieve the Company’s goals.
- Assist in implementing and monitoring operational procedures and systems.
- Ensure all regulatory reporting and filing obligations are met, including liaison with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and statutory authorities on internal and external audit matters.
- Act as custodian of Company assets and assist in controlling Company expenses.
Additional and Enhanced Responsibilities
Conduct detailed financial variance and causal analyses (SG&A, COS, gross profit, sales mix, inventory) and provide actionable insights.Translate accounting results into business implications that support strategic decision-making.Identify financial risks and improvement opportunities, and proactively recommend solutions.Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams to align financial analysis with market trends, sales policies, and inventory structures.Bridge accounting and operations to ensure consistency between financial data and actual performance.Take initiative to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement solutions independently.Improve analytical methods, reporting formats, and visualization tools to strengthen management insights.Ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of financial reports, eliminating the need for rechecking.Oversee the quality, consistency, and timeliness of team deliverables and coach team members to enhance analytical capability.Present financial results and variance analyses clearly, emphasizing key impacts and recommended actions.Stay updated on accounting and tax regulation changes and ensure full compliance.Key Performance Indicators
Timeliness of monthly closing and reporting.Accuracy and reliability of financial reports (within defined error threshold).Number and quality of actionable insights or improvement proposals submitted quarterly.Effectiveness of cross-functional collaboration and responsiveness to management.Quality and depth of financial variance and causal analyses.Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or professional qualifications such as ACCA, CAT, or CIMA are also acceptable.Experience in IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) preferred.Minimum 5 years of managerial experience.Strategic mindset with high integrity, ethics, and a results-driven approach.Ability to interpret financial results from a business perspective and support strategic decision-making.Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.Proficiency in Excel or BI tools, with ability to present findings clearly to management.Participative management style and strong sense of accountability.Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Chinese proficiency is an added advantage.#J-18808-Ljbffr
