Senior Project Engineer

Overview

Our client located in Senai, Johor, Malaysia, is part of a global company that has been developing, manufacturing, and supplying plastic products since 1944. With 1,800 employees and production sites across Sweden, Germany, the UK, Poland, Turkey, Malaysia, and China, they provide plastic injection moulding services and contract manufacturing solutions for markets including business machines, professional appliances, industrial products, home automation, and medical solutions. They have been a wholly owned subsidiary of Nordstjernan since 2010.

Job Purpose

To lead and coordinate Project team on the effective introduction and on time delivery of customer programs (NPI), to manage all program related tasks new and existing, to continually improve process capability, delivery of services, provided to all our customers both internal and external, ensuring adherence to all company procedures.

Main Success Criteria

Project management ensuring on time and cost effective implementation of customer programs, all of which should be in accordance with company procedures, focus on continues improvement and cost reduction. Departmental KPI and PI are analyzed at all times and acted upon.

HSE Basic Criteria

Be responsible for own health and safety and others who may be affected by his / her actions.

Duties & Responsibilities

HSE :

Design or introduce new product or process or equipment with full HSE risk assessment. Take actions to reduce HSE impact in any change management to current process

Project Management :

To effectively manage new projects from customer concept to manufacturing handover thru APQP management.

Liase with customer at all times, focus on all project related issues.

Quality & HSE Systems :

To liase with quality department & HSE engineer on specific related tasks, adherence to systems.

Procedural Co mpliance :

Ensure all documents and maintenance of records is up to date at all times.

To continually improve our controls, systems and performance both internal and external.

Education / Formal Qualifications

Bachelor degree or above, major in engineering or manufacturing

Experience

Above 6 years related working experience in manufacturing company; having the knowledge of injection molding

Working Hours

Salary Range

RM5000-RM9000

Petrol RM300, Mobile RM100, Meal RM4 / per working day
