Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare site annual plan and budget with BU input.
- Manage site operations and assure compliance activities.
- Engage with BU on SIOP and S&OE.
- Decide targets for manufacturing excellence metrics and KPIs.
- Drive product cost reduction against KPI targets.
- Enhance product quality against KPI targets.
- Execute procurement plans as per SIOP.
- Monitor site-level safety & workforce management metrics against defined targets.
- Drive site-level adoption of standard processes & best practices.
- Manage Quality, EH&S, Facilities, and any site level Legal & Trade Compliance activities.
- Decide resource requirements and hiring plan for upcoming period.
- Design and implement facilities metrics and tracking.
- Identify, design and deploy automation capabilities to improve operations at a site (e.g., data automation, equipment automation, etc.).
- Decide and implement data strategy & governance.
- Decide and implement data infrastructure & systems.
- Decide standard change control processes for manufacturing operations, incorporating input from Legal and Compliance at site level.
- Devise & approve a machine downtime scheduling plan for all the critical machines / tools at the site to maximize utilization.
- Review and approve procurement plans based on SIOP planning – Direct Materials.
- Review and approve procurement plans for Indirect Materials.
- Devise, approve and implement plans to reduce the total cost of quality that maximizes enterprise profitability.
- Decide relevant training and development programs for site specific capabilities.
- Serve as a single point of contact for all updates and communications with Corporate and Regional Leadership for the assigned Site / s.
Education & Experience
BS in Engineering or technical related discipline. Advanced degree preferred.15 years of progressive manufacturing experience, preferably currently having same role (Site Leader) in a manufacturing company OR with at least 10 years of increasing management responsibility in a manufacturing environment.Strong operational experience with the ability to establish and measure KPIs.Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem‑solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.Proven financial acumen.Experience in managing continuous improvement projects.Strong interpersonal skills, and excellent written and oral communication skills.Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high‑pressure environment.Possess working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques including Kaizen, 5S, Visual Management and JIT Lean manufacturing.Skills
