About the Role : The Senior Data Centre Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for leading the design, operation, and reliability of critical mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in mission‑critical data centre environments. The role requires strong technical expertise in electrical and mechanical infrastructure, proactive problem‑solving, and the ability to support both design and operations teams in ensuring system reliability and uptime.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, planning, and maintenance of critical electrical and mechanical systems (HV / LV distribution, UPS, standby generators, cooling, lightning protection, earthing, etc.) in high‑reliability data centres.
- Perform detailed electrical and mechanical calculations, review system performance, and recommend preventative and proactive maintenance strategies.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting during equipment failures and critical events, ensuring rapid resolution.
- Oversee infrastructure upgrades, preventive maintenance programs, and system enhancements to minimise downtime and extend asset life.
- Support the preparation of technical specifications, tender documents, and Bills of Quantities (BQ).
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, operational SLAs, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with facility operations, project teams, and contractors for seamless project delivery.
- Guide engineers and contribute to process improvement across design and operations.
- Follow operational processes and ensure services and infrastructure meet operational SLAs.
