In 2021, Jadestone acquired SapuraOMV's assets in Peninsular Malaysia, including interests in four licenses. Two licenses, PM329 PSC and PM323 PSC, are operated by Jadestone with 70% and 60% interests respectively. Jadestone also holds 50% non‑operated interests in PM318 and AAKBNLP PSCs, which were operated by PETRONAS Carigali. The company has a 100% operated working interest in the Stag oilfield and the Montara project offshore Australia, and a 16.67% non‑operated interest in the North West Shelf Oil Project offshore Western Australia. Further assets include two gas development blocks in Southwest Vietnam, a 100% interest in Lemang PSC onshore Sumatra, and a 9.52% interest in the Sinphuhorm producing gas field onshore Thailand. We are seeking a technically strong and detail‑oriented Finance Team Lead to join the corporate finance function of an independent international oil and gas company listed on the London AIM market. This position is ideal for a Big 4‑trained accountant at Manager level or above, ready to transition into industry and apply technical expertise in an international environment. As a key member of the regional finance team, the Finance Team Lead will support the Group Finance Manager across statutory reporting, technical accounting, and audit management, with travel to Perth, Singapore, and Ho Chi Minh City.
Key Responsibilities
Group Consolidation : Lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements, ensuring accurate integration of financial data from all subsidiaries.Financial Reporting : Prepare and present annual and half‑year financial reports in full compliance with IFRS and relevant regulatory standards.Audit Coordination : Manage external audit processes, acting as the primary liaison with auditors.Statutory Accounts : Prepare statutory financial statements for corporate entities, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Financial Analysis : Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, assess performance, and provide strategic insights to senior management.Tax Compliance : Oversee the preparation and submission of corporate tax returns, ensuring adherence to all applicable tax laws and regulations.Technical Accounting Expertise : Apply deep IFRS knowledge to resolve complex accounting issues and support accurate financial reporting.Treasury Management : Supervise treasury operations including cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and loan agreement administration.Position Requirements
University degree.Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent).Experience, Skills & Knowledge
Minimum 10‑15 years of accounting experience.Big 4 accounting experience preferred but not essential.Statutory accounting and audit experience.Detailed knowledge of IFRS.Experience leading and managing teams.Financial modelling experience preferred but not essential.Strong Excel skills.Candidate Profile
