1. Accounting, Reporting, Forecasting & Budgeting
i. Manage assistant accountants in maintaining accurate timely books of accounts in compliance to applicable accounting standards
ii. Assist the SM in preparation of Monthly / quarterly management accounts, forecasts and reports on the financial performance of the Business Unit including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flows and supporting schedules (capex, balance sheet notes, etc)
iii. Assist in preparation of Quarterly external reporting to relevant authorities, and annual Statutory accounts compliance
iv. Assist the SM in internal financial controls, where necessary, interfacing between the line management and finance sub‑functions on issue resolution (e.g. AP, AR, Accounting, Treasury)
v. Assist in supporting working capital management and treasury, taxation and financial planning
2. Investment, Capital Expenditure and Risk Management
i. Monitoring and reporting of capital investments
ii. Reconciliation of capex between accounting, commercial projects, and tracking of cost to complete
iii. Conduct impairment tests, and other accounting compliance requirements related to assets and investment
iv. Reporting of exposures such as to foreign currency, interest rates, and forecast of such exposure for hedging
3. Taxation
i. Work with Group tax manager to plan fiscal structure such as to optimize short and long‑term effective tax rate
ii. Ensure books of accounts are kept in compliance with tax requirements such as Inter‑Company procedures, Transfer Pricing procedures and Indirect tax compliance
