Overview
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Key Account Executive / Manager to grow our brand presence across retail channels. This role is critical in managing key customer relationships, driving sales performance, and executing trade marketing activities to deliver strong results in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Responsibilities
- Build and run the account calendar (listings / listings, NPD launches, promo phasing, price changes, displays, planograms).
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with assigned key accounts, acting as the primary point of contact.
- Develop channel strategies to determine the most effective selling formats and methods.
- Manage customer portfolios to achieve sales targets, service levels, DSO, market share, and distribution coverage.
- Prepare impactful customer sell-in decks and lead negotiations on promo mechanics, placements, and displays.
- Identify and secure new listings with supermarkets, retailers, and mini-marts to expand distribution.
- Control A&P / trade spend and accruals to optimize ROI.
- Resolve client issues promptly to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Ensure timely validation and submission of promo / scan claims, debit notes (DNs), RTVs, and shortage claims.
Qualifications
Diploma / Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).1–3 years of experience in FMCG sales, account management, customer service, or field execution.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging buyers, trade marketing, supply chain, finance, or field teams.Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.Effective communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.Location : Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia
