As a Senior Test Engineer, you shall work collaboratively with other test engineers and groups to test different Database Source System and oversee the activities of the quality assurance. You shall oversee and be responsible for preparation of test documents relating to Planning, Execution and Reporting. You shall be accountable for creation of test procedures and ensure successful deployment of the same.
Responsibilities :
- Reviews and validates requirements and technical specifications
- Develops and executes test plans, test queries and detailed test cases based on requirements and / or customer feedback and prioritization
- Documents results; offer observations or improvements after analysis of test results and overall product quality
- Collaborates with the development team on bug fix verification and validation (regression testing)
- Communicates professionally at all levels within and outside of the organization
- Supports, designs, develops, and enhances test processes and reporting for QA ETL processes
- Manages testing efforts across many varied projects and tasks under tight deadlines
- Mentors and provides training assistance to Associate ETL Engineers
Must Have :
At least 4+ yrs. quality assurance with exposure / experience in Agile Development environments for DWH / ETL Projects.Experience with Query Surge automated testing tools or equivalent automation skills.Can write ETL Testing scripts (using SQL / Python)Have deep knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts, ETL Process and cloud systems.Has strong testing experience with snowflake and on prem Hadoop and TeradataHands on experience of different DBs like, MS SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 etc.2-3 yrs. Of Domain Knowledge for Banking Projects.Identifies, communicates, and escalates issues as requiredA team player and self-starter who will work side by side with the development teamAbility to multi-task, prioritize tasks and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsThorough working knowledge of software testing methodologies and the testing life cycle
