Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to manage financial records, compliance requirements, and ensure the company is prepared for Malaysia’s upcoming LHDN e-invoicing implementation. You will liaise closely with our corporate secretary, auditor, and tax agent to keep the company in good standing.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and issue invoices, receipts, and payment documentation in line with Malaysian accounting and tax standards.
- Implement and manage systems for LHDN e-invoicing compliance.
- Liaise with the corporate secretary, auditor, and tax agent to ensure timely statutory filings and compliance.
- Track and manage expenses, ensuring proper categorisation for compliance and audit purposes.
- Provide financial summaries and reports to management when required.
Requirements
Proven experience in accounting roles within Malaysia.Strong understanding of Malaysian tax requirements and LHDN processes (e-invoicing knowledge is a plus).Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Bukku, QuickBooks, or similar) and Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.Start date : as soon as possible.Flexible working hours – to be discussed.Available for meetings around KL when required.Monthly rate of between RM2,500 and RM4,000 depending on experience, but no SOCSO or EPF contributions. Expenses incurred will be claimable.Willingness to sign an NDA.Employment details
