PKF Malaysia is seeking a Tax Advisory Manager to join our growing tax practice. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with deep tax expertise who can provide high‑value advisory services to clients while fostering long‑term relationships. You will work closely with businesses, entrepreneurs, and multinational corporations to optimise tax efficiency and ensure compliance in a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on corporate tax, cross‑border transactions, tax incentives, restructuring and indirect tax matters (SST).
- Research and interpret tax laws, regulations and rulings to ensure compliance and optimise tax strategies.
- Advise clients or business units on tax implications of transactions, investments and operational changes.
- Develop and implement tax‑efficient structures and planning strategies.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align tax strategies with business objectives.
- Manage relationships with clients, tax authorities and external advisors.
- Review and analyse tax provisions, deferred tax positions and financial reporting impacts.
- Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact on the business or clients.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets and deliverables to ensure high‑quality service.
- Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Qualifications & Skills
Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CTIM / CPA / ACCA or equivalent certification preferred.Preferably possess 5‑7 years of tax advisory experience in a professional services firm.Good command of written and spoken English; ability to read and write Chinese preferred.Strong knowledge of Malaysia tax laws, international tax principles and transfer pricing.Knowledge of Malaysian indirect tax (SST and GST) would be an added bonus.Ability to analyse complex tax issues and provide strategic recommendations.Excellent communication, problem‑solving, people management and project management abilities.Proficiency in tax research tools (e.g., CCH, RIA, Bloomberg Tax).Self‑motivated, commercially aware and passionate about delivering client‑centric solutions.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Why Join PKF Malaysia?
