Metrology Engineer is to ensure the precision and reliability of measurement systems used in manufacturing and quality assurance processes. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining calibration protocols, analyzing measurement data, and supporting the implementation of precision measurement technologies. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of metrology principles, statistical evaluation, and quality standards to drive continuous improvement and ensure product compliance.

Job Description
Schedule and perform equipment calibration and validity checks to ensure measurements remain within defined tolerances and specifications.Enhance existing procedures to reduce overall checking time and improve operational efficiency.Creatively design and propose an innovative measurement method to consolidate or streamline steps while maintaining accuracy in line with product requirements.Respond to user requests and project demands on equipment to fulfil the checking requirements based on the company\'s product.Develop efficient storage solutions for gauges, accessories, and small inspection tools to minimize waste and improve accessibility.Develop proper usage methods for every equipment to prolong its lifespan.Create and maintain a new purchase receiving flow and perform equipment acceptance tests.Prepare a preventive maintenance checklist and follow the schedule to conduct necessary work.Create a working instruction and assign tasks to the technician.Validate the technician’s work and detect future possible abnormalities.Recording and maintaining equipment performance data, equipment SOPs, analysing breakdown causes and recovery efficiency, and creating manpower utilization reports to compare planned and unplanned maintenance activities for improved operations.Overseeing equipment inventory, including maintaining backup parts and spares to ensure uninterrupted operations during downtime.Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Metrology, Measurement Science, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.Preferred 1-3 year(s) of working experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.Knowledge of measurement standards and the international system of units (SI).Proficiency in calibration techniques and equipment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and accuracy.Knowledge of Quality Control and Assurance procedures.Excellent communication skills.Occasional travel within the Asia-Pacific region is required (when necessary)Fresh graduates with relevant technical training or internships are welcome to apply.Job insights
