Senior Finance Associate role at CoinGecko .

Responsibilities

  • Financial reporting : Review financial data from various reporting tools and consolidate monthly and annual management reports. Review and prepare presentations and materials for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Financial accounting : Manage month-end closing and cash flow. Involvement in tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and related needs as necessary.
  • Financial planning & analysis : Conduct financial analysis and modelling to provide insights into revenue, profitability, and cash flow.
  • Budgeting & forecasting : Manage the company\'s annual departmental budget and forecast; track actual performance against plan.
  • Risk management : Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Financial operations : Oversee day-to-day financial operations, reconcile bank statements, manage cryptocurrency wallets, expense tools, and management accounts; ensure financial records are accurate and updated.
  • Customer management : Manage incoming sales invoices and monitor accounts receivable aging.
  • Vendor management : Manage amounts due to suppliers and prepare payment schedules to ensure timely payments.
  • Documentation : Create finance guidelines, standards, and templates from scratch.
  • Regulatory awareness : Stay up-to-date with financial regulations, accounting standards, and industry best practices; contribute to process improvements.
  • Team collaboration : Collaborate with other departments, liaise with auditors and external parties involved in financial processes.
  • Coaching : Mentor interns and junior-mid associates, providing constructive feedback.
  • Support ad hoc tasks as required by the company.

    • Requirements

  • Proven track record : 5-8 years of experience in a Finance / Accounting role.
  • Education : A Bachelor\'s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or related fields. Professional qualification such as ACCA or CPA is a plus.
  • Accounting knowledge : Deep expertise in journal entries, monthly closing, reconciliations, and general accounting principles.
  • Finance skills : Expertise in at least one area of Finance (e.g., Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting, FP&A, Financial Modeling, Budgeting & Forecasting, Treasury Management, Taxation, Risk Management, Financial Operations).
  • Tools : Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and ability to prepare effective slides; proficiency with accounting software / ERP.
  • Entrepreneurial : Self-motivated, resourceful, entrepreneurial mindset; able to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical & data-driven : Curious about data and able to tell stories with data.
  • Operational excellence : High accuracy and quality standards; ability to enforce standards with peers.
  • Leadership & collaboration : Self-motivated, able to work independently, strong self-leadership; open to ideas from others.
  • Problem solving : Ability to solve hard problems with many constraints using data-informed reasoning.
  • People skills : Fluent in written and spoken English; strong communicator with internal / external stakeholders.
  • Integrity : Ability to handle highly sensitive data with sound judgment.
