Your Role In Our Team

As a key member of the senior management team, the General Manager of Quality & Lean leads all quality related functions at our manufacturing site in Shah Alam. This role is responsible for driving customer orientation, compliance and excellence across Quality Management & Assurance, Integrated Management Systems (IMS), and Lean initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a senior professional with proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, ready to support the company’s ambitious growth targets.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure best-in-class customer satisfaction in terms of product quality, delivery dates and cooperation, both with internal and external customers.
  • Review and approve final product quality and certifications with your final inspection team.
  • Lead all problem-solving activities with your international partners.
  • Improve all necessary inspections, quality loops and processes within our international production network with the target to prevent problems before they arise.

Quality Management System & Integrated Management Systems

  • Lead and continuously improve the site’s Quality Management System (QMS) and Integrated Management System (IMS) in close cooperation with the international sites.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international laws and ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001,…) as well as customer-specific requirements.
  • Oversee internal and external audits, certifications, and regulatory inspections.

    • Operational Excellence & Lean

  • Drive Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and eliminate waste, improve process efficiency, and enhance product quality.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and operational excellence.

    • Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach & develop your team and build a department with target-orientation and trusting team spirit. Foster a culture of customer orientation, ownership, accountability, innovation, & continuous learning.
  • Lead or support cross-departmental and global quality projects, maintaining close communication with your international counterparts.

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s or MBA degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field with excellent results.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality leadership roles within manufacturing, preferably in an international setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Operations, QMS, IMS, Lean, Six Sigma and regulatory compliance.
  • Good knowledge of SAP as well as MS Office tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills in a multinational environment. Trust is key.
  • Fluent in English; German language would be an advantage.
