Our client is in an exciting growth phase where Cloud Services will play a central part. They aim to create a new scalable cloud native infrastructure to build next-generation cloud-based products on. Simultaneously, devising strategies to evolve existing system to seamlessly integrate with this new infrastructure.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Define the architectural vision with other architects in line with the product roadmap and company goals.
  • Develop and maintain ownership of the overall architecture and core framework that supports the vision.
  • Empower and guide the teams to make informed decisions while ensuring alignment with our overall architectural vision.
  • Facilitate integration between different teams / services, ensuring the system functions cohesively as a whole.
  • Initiate prototyping efforts and innovation initiatives to explore new solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise to teams to design system that is scalable, high-performance and cost-effective.

Job requirements

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree and above in Computer Science or equivalent, with extensive relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in designing a modular, service-oriented architecture.
  • Has good software development experience based on an extensive variety of problems faced in different situations. Preferable to have experience in a large-scale enterprise system / cloud project from scratch.
  • Proven record of accurate technical judgement and long-term risk assessment when faced with complex situations.
  • Technical stack :

    • Data infrastructure tools and frameworks covering storage, querying / processing, transformation and output.

    AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Kinesis, Athena and DBT

  • DevOps in Cloud environments, preferably AWS
  • Databases, both NoSQL and Relational Databases
  • JavaScript Libraries / Frameworks, such as React and Next.js
  • Typed programming languages, preferably Typescript or Rust
