Job Summary

We are hiring a Software Manager (M1) to lead a 10-person engineering team in developing control software for high-performance semiconductor automation equipment. The role combines hands-on technical leadership , team management , and cross-functional coordination , requiring strong skills in C# and object-oriented programming , as well as experience with motors, pneumatics, and industrial sensors . The ideal candidate is fluent in Mandarin and open to occasional domestic or international travel to support customer deployments and technical collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a software team (~10 engineers) responsible for motion control, machine vision, and I / O integration.

Architect and implement modular equipment software using C# and other OOP languages (e.g., C++, Java).

Provide guidance on integrating servo motors, pneumatics, sensors, and industrial safety devices.

Coordinate with electrical and mechanical teams to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.

Review and maintain code quality, enforce structured testing, and manage version control workflows (e.g., Git).

Participate in architecture reviews, system testing, and debugging as a technical lead.

Coach and mentor junior engineers while managing individual performance and growth plans.

Support on-site equipment commissioning and troubleshooting at customer sites when required.

Communicate effectively in Mandarin with internal teams, suppliers, or customers as needed.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related field.

8+ years of professional experience in industrial or automation software, with 2+ years in a team lead or managerial role.

Strong proficiency in C# and good working knowledge of object-oriented design .

Hands-on experience with servo / stepper motors , pneumatic systems , and industrial sensors.

Familiarity with EtherCAT , Modbus , SECS / GEM , or similar industrial communication protocols.

Fluency in Mandarin and English , both spoken and written.

Willingness to travel occasionally (e.g., for equipment installation, troubleshooting, or supplier / customer support).

Preferred Qualifications

Additional hands-on experience with C++, Python, .NET framework, and WPF for developing robust and scalable software solutions.

Proven experience overseeing the development or integration of AI-driven solutions, including but not limited to computer vision, classification systems, or intelligent automation.

Understanding of industrial safety systems and electrical integration standards.

Leadership : Manages team output, mentors staff, and ensures timely delivery.

Technical Depth : Strong in OOP, automation, and hardware-software integration.

Communication : Able to coordinate across disciplines and communicate effectively in Mandarin and English.

Adaptability : Willing to travel and work directly with cross-site teams or customers.

Execution : Maintains focus on quality, maintainability, and system reliability.
