Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Payment Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in ensuring smooth daily repayment, refund, and dispute operations across the APAC region. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in payment networks, strong problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to process improvement in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and oversee daily repayment, refund, and dispute operations with high accuracy across APAC markets
- Lead investigations into complex operational issues and implement effective solutions
- Serve as a subject matter expert on external payment networks, ensuring compliance with all regulations
- Identify potential settlement operation risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Create and maintain comprehensive operating manuals, user guides, and process documentation
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve operational problems, complaints, and queries in a timely manner
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to team knowledge sharing
- Analyze operational data to identify trends and recommend process improvements
- Participate in special projects and initiatives to enhance payment operations efficiency
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in payment operations, banking environment, or similar role (increased from 2 years)Comprehensive knowledge of Card Network compliance and regulations for both domestic and international transactionsStrong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex operational issuesExcellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departmentsExperience managing multiple communication channelsDemonstrated ability to thrive in a hyper-growth, fast-paced environmentFlexibility to work beyond standard hours when necessary to meet team objectivesBachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)Preferred Qualifications
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly ExcelExperience in banking, fintech startup, or similar financial services environmentKnowledge of additional payment methods and emerging payment technologiesExperience with process automation and operational efficiency improvementsPrevious experience mentoring or training team membersProfessional certification in payments or operations managementSeniority level
