Senior Underwriting Executive, A&H

Penerangan pekerjaanCompletes assignments of moderate to high complexity while working within delegated authority. Offers technical underwriting support and guidance to customers and distributors, ensuring exceptional customer service at all times. Fosters strong relationships with internal and external distributors by consistently requesting appropriate evidence, making informed decisions, and clearly explaining rating outcomes. Addresses a variety of queries and referrals within established authority limits, assessing exposure and analyzing risk for each case to uphold underwriting standards. Assist in managing product development entire life cycle from product idealization, concept, creation to launch, including policy documentation and marketing materials within the approved product governance framework. Collaborate with various stakeholders, such as legal, compliance, vendor, IT and distribution channels for product roll out. Work with Product Leaders and Distribution channels to develop marketing strategies and plans for product development including working with Marketing / Corporate Communications on Marketing collaterals and new product launches. Maintain proper documentation of all relevant internal / external analysis conducted and information used in the product development, pricing, and approval signoffs. Create a system and process for ensuring appropriate post implementation / post launch monitoring of new products in line with the regulatory and Company guidelines. Prepare product documentation for submission to PIAM and / or BNM where necessary. Responsible for market research of competitors’ products and trends within the industry. Provide recommendations and input on strategic product opportunities. Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats, and appropriate steps to mitigate the risks. Good Analytical, written and communication skills Highly driven and independent Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications and relevant knowledge in IT core system functionalities At least 2-3 years of working experience in general insurance Experience in project management including involvement in the creation of new insurance products to the market Degree in any discipline, preferably Actuarial Science AMII / ACII or equivalent insurance qualifications
Key Objective
This position is responsible for : -
- Evaluate risks and underwrite new and renewal business for the Corporate Book, Accident & Health segments in accordance with underwriting guidelines, emphasizing growth and profitability.
- Assist in monitoring the Accident & Health portfolio to ensure that underwriting performance aligns with financial targets.
