Job Title : Safety & Health Officer (SHO)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and certified Safety & Health Officer (SHO) to join our project team. The SHO will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all occupational safety, health, and environmental regulations at our project sites, while promoting a strong safety culture across the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA 1994), Factories and Machinery Act (FMA 1967), and all relevant statutory requirements.
- Develop, implement, and monitor site Safety & Health Plans, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify hazards and recommend preventive measures.
- Liaise with relevant authorities (e.g., DOSH, CIDB, JKKP) for inspections, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead and coordinate safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and training sessions for site workers and staff.
- Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
- Prepare and submit required safety reports, documentation, and records to management and authorities.
- Foster a culture of safety awareness and ensure all employees and subcontractors follow site safety requirements.
Requirements
Must possess a valid Green Book (SHO certification) registered with DOSH.Minimum 3–5 years of working experience as an SHO, preferably in construction / data center / M&E projects.Strong knowledge of OSHA, FMA, and other local regulations.Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Able to work long hours and adapt to fast-track project timelines.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and reporting tools.Benefits
