Overview
We are looking for a Network Security Engineer with expertise in routing and switching for wired and wireless, cybersecurity specifically SSE, firewall, email security, and endpoint security to design, implement, and maintain robust security solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, hands-on experience with industry-leading security tools, and a proactive approach to mitigating cyber threats.
Responsibilities
- Implementation of projects closed by the field sales team.
- Works closely with internal sales, project managers and service resources by communicating project status and success metrics.
- Creates documentations and technical knowledge transfer to customers.
- Assist sales team on technical proof-of-concepts evaluation.
- Maintains knowledge of competitive products.
- Develops and maintain relationships with prospects, customers, and partners.
- Respond to customer inquiries and assist in troubleshooting and resolving challenges.
- Following SOP for escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams.
- Researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting and identifying solutions to resolve issues.
- Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers.
- Provide technical support to customers by remotely or onsite support according to SLA.
- Participate in internal technical sharing session.
- Lead projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project objectives.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years focused on firewall, email security, and endpoint security.Hands-on experience with switch & wireless (e.g., Aruba, Cisco, Huawei) and firewall platforms (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet).Proven expertise in email security tools (e.g., Proofpoint, Mimecast), endpoint protection platforms (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne), SSE (Zscaler, Palo Alto).Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP / IP, and VPN technologies.Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence platforms is a plus.Experience with cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.Experience with network automation (e.g., Python, Ansible) is a plus.Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to solve issues.Excellent communication and documentation skills in English, Mandarin, Bahasa Melayu language, both written and verbal.Ability to work effectively across teams.Certified in CISSP, CCSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or vendor-specific certifications (e.g., Palo Alto PCNSE, Fortinet NSE) are highly desirable.Seniority level
