About the role

We're seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our dynamic team at SCGM BHD in Kajang, Selangor. As a Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the overall business objectives. This is a full‑time position based in our Kajang office.

What you'll be doing

  • Oversee daily finance and accounting operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance
  • Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and statutory regulations
  • Lead financial planning, cost control, and internal audit functions
  • Provide management with accurate financial analysis for decision-making
  • Supervise and guide the finance team to achieve departmental objectives

What we're looking for

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a financial controller or senior accounting role, preferably in the accounting industry
  • Excellent financial management and analysis skills, with a strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles
  • Proficient in using financial software and data analysis tools
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to both financial and non‑financial stakeholders
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records
