Join the dynamic team at Zoo Lipis as a full-time Zoo Ranger. As a Zoo Ranger, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the well-being and safety of the animals in our care, while providing an engaging and educational experience for our visitors. This role is based in Kuala Lipis, Pahang.

What you’ll be doing

  • Performing daily animal welfare checks and monitoring the health and behaviour of the animals
  • Assisting with the feeding, cleaning, and general care of the animals
  • Interacting with visitors to provide information about the animals and their habitats
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the zoo's facilities and grounds
  • Participating in educational programs and conservation initiatives
  • Reporting any concerns or issues to the senior zoo management team

What we’re looking for

  • Relevant experience in animal care, conservation, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of animal behaviour, husbandry, and welfare
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with visitors
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of animal care and safety
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Physical fitness and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks
