Key Responsibilities

Provide L1 / L2 application and production support for data, finance, and compliance systems.

Handle business queries, system incidents, and service requests promptly and efficiently.

Reverse-engineer reports and user queries to identify data logic, transformation rules, and source systems.

Analyze complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models for root cause investigations.

Troubleshoot ETL pipelines (Informatica, SSIS), identify performance bottlenecks or logic issues.

Conduct data validation, reconciliation, and discrepancy analysis.

Collaborate with internal development teams for issue resolution and release support.

Follow ITIL-aligned incident, problem, and change management processes.

Participate in infrastructure upgrades, DR / BCM activities, and capacity planning.

Support management reporting and contribute to centrally driven project initiatives.

Technical Skills Required

Databases : Teradata, Oracle, MS SQL

ETL & BI Tools : Informatica, SSIS, Hive, MS Power BI, SSAS

OS & Scripting : Unix / Linux, Shell scripting, AS400

Job Scheduling : Control-M

Big Data : Hadoop (Cloudera CDH 5.8+)

Strong understanding of banking products, financial instruments, and regulatory reporting.

✅ Candidate Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in application development or support in the Banking / Finance / Data Warehouse space.

Proficient in SQL, data lineage tracing, and ETL troubleshooting.

Familiarity with ITIL or similar incident / problem management frameworks.

Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Strong domain knowledge in finance, risk, and compliance across banking systems.
