Overview
Principal / Lead Auditor at Micron Technology. The Quality Management Office (QMO) Auditor prepares, supports, and conducts internal audits, and hosts or supports external quality audits (customer and certification).
Responsibilities
- Plan Audit objectives and schedule; develop and maintain Internal Audit Schedule (System, Process, and Product Audits), and customer / certification audit schedules.
- Gather information from production, service, development and supporting activities and assess risk areas to focus during audits.
- Analyze department quality systems and previous audit information from multiple sources.
- Lead Auditor : assist with audit team selection and audit plan preparation for internal audits.
- Represent the audit team with management of the audited area, customers, and certification bodies.
- Conduct internal quality audits (system, process, and product) and any special audits; identify non-conformities, strengths, and improvement areas.
- Coordinate audit schedules; assist with audit preparation including line tours and dry runs; participate on site; analyze findings and summarize for reports to enable process improvement.
- Facilitate closing meetings and follow up on audits to ensure corrective actions are implemented and non-conformities addressed.
- Support the improvement of the Quality Management System and evaluate standard methodologies.
- Participate in quality improvement projects.
- Be knowledgeable of auditor skills and competences; travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Qualifications
Degree in Chemical or Engineering with 3-5 years experience in auditing / quality control / QMS in semiconductor industry.Knowledge of ISO 9001 : 2015 and IATF 16949 : 2016; familiarity with VDA 6.3 (2016), Automotive Spice, and Automotive Core Tools (FMEA, SPC, MSA, APQP, PPAP).Experience in internal, customer and certification audits; automotive process approach for auditing including risk-based thinking; understanding of customer-specific requirements; semiconductor manufacturing processes and product requirements.Ability to work under tight timeframes, multitask, and prioritize significant activities; excellent interpersonal, leadership and collaboration skills; strong verbal and written communication; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Travel as needed (domestic and international).About Micron Technology
