Role Description
Respond.io is expanding rapidly, aiming for a $1 billion valuation following our successful Series A funding. We’re hiring a Senior Finance Specialist to own critical finance functions across reporting, forecasting, controls, and process optimization . This is a senior individual contributor role—equivalent in scope and compensation to a Finance Manager. You’ll be the finance team’s go-to problem solver : generalist in scope, strategic in thinking, and trusted by leadership for both detail and direction.
Responsibilities :
- Lead high-impact financial initiatives : collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive alignment, execution, and measurable business outcomes.
- Analyze complex financial data and business issues : offer clear, actionable insights to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Own and continuously improve core finance processes (e.g., month‑end close, budgeting, forecasting, controls) : ensure consistency, scalability, and compliance.
- Provide strategic problem solving across finance challenges—from modeling to cost optimization and risk mitigation.
- Produce accurate and timely financial reports, dashboards, and narratives that inform leadership decisions and performance reviews.
- Champion process automation and data integrity : identify opportunities to reduce manual errors and improve reporting efficiency.
- Support compliance and audit readiness : help ensure audit readiness, policy adherence, and regulatory alignment.
- Mentor junior team members (where applicable) : provide guidance on analysis, tools, and professional development in a collaborative, high‑performance culture.
Qualifications :
At least 4–5 years of experience in finance or accounting, ideally in a Big Four firm or a high‑growth SaaS company. Experience in FP&A, business partnering, or strategic finance is strongly preferred.Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, ICAEW) are highly desirable.Extensive knowledge of financial principles, regulatory requirements, and advanced financial analysis techniques.Proven track record of leading complex financial projects and process improvement initiatives.Exceptional attention to detail and ability to ensure the accuracy of financial reports and data.Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to develop and implement robust financial solutions.Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex financial information clearly to stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing finance team.Benefits and Culture :
