The team is currently hiring an Accounts Assistant to be based at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and you will be a key participant within a small focused Accounting Team, participating in a full range of accounting and financial management functions for a diverse portfolio of entities in the insurance and risk sector.

ASW Global operates on a Hybrid model. During the probation period, you will be required to work full-time onsite. After this period, the role will transition to a hybrid model, with 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home, with a regular shift schedule of 7 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM Kuala Lumpur time.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable processes using CONCUR and ensure timely, accurate transactions.
  • Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliation while maintaining the integrity of client financial records.
  • Support the preparation of BAS, FBT, and other statutory reporting requirements.
  • Assist in budgeting activities and provide audit support, including extracting data from ERP systems, banks, and CONCUR.
  • Liaise with auditors and broker clients to facilitate smooth financial operations and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or any equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in accounting; supporting the Australian client / market would be an added advantage.
  • Qualified Accountant with either CPA, CA, ACCA or any relevant professional certificate would be highly considered.
  • High-level understanding of technical accounting including AP, AR, month closing, bank reconciliation and journal entry.
  • High Excel skills level (intermediate to advanced).
  • Comprehensive verbal and written English skills.
